Today on MSNBC, Dr. Nancy Schneiderman had nothing but praise for Science vs Skepticism a new book which somewhat talked about alternative medicine in the US.  The author said, “…a lot of people use vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and we are finding with a lot of new studies that these things are dangerous…”…Really?  REALLY!

First of all folks, you have to understand that if you get healthy…these doctors don’t make any money.  Just remember that.  Second, this guy and the good doctor were talking about self-medicating which they don’t recommend…BECAUSE YOU PAY THEM TO WALK INTO THEIR OFFICE!  This is a self-funded business…medicine is not a free clinic…someone has to pay for their salaries!  They don’t do it for free.  If you have doctors that are telling you that Vitamins, Minerals and Antioxidants are making you sick…then go to another doctor that did better in their biochem and molecular biology classes.

If you do not have certain vitamins, minerals or antioxidants…you get sick…very sick and sometimes when you are that weak, another virus or bacteria sneeks in and invades and then you die.

I have a rule that I give my clients…if you are using supplements like medicine, then it is medicine…don’t abuse it!

Schneiderman and this “god-like” author were talking about how prescription medicines don’t always work because the human body is different from person to person, and that minute difference can cause a different reaction for medications…so they don’t always work…Hmmm, kinda like alternatives…so prescription medications have efficacy problems too…like supplements, herbs and diet!  Wow, that would mean that when the studies are released, there can be bias as to how the studies are done, interpreted and delivered then too, huh…so if you have someone with a medical background that does a study, wanting to disprove the effectiveness of a supplement, a diet, herb or treatment…all you have to do is gear it to fail.  He should have looked at the origins of science a little closer…science was not based on fact…it was based on religion all those years ago…religion can’t be proven…there is no way…and it is known that many “facts” that science laid down at one time, have been disproved even today.  There is no such thing as “fact”…only theorem, only speculation.  As a human race, we provide to many variables to achieve true fact as far as human reaction to anything.  You can have Morbidity…a greater reaction to the populous, but you can never define reactions to everyone because our chemistry and ionic impulses are to strewn beyond our comprehension.  Science vs Skepticism….I think the good doctor and the author are more skeptics and negative personalities then you would want to be associated with…who wants to be around someone who is always “right” and never has the spirit of learning or listening…maybe that is why they are writing books and hosting TV shows, cause they aren’t really healers at all!
